FTTH Innovation Awards

Innovation and the FTTH Council Objectives  

The FTTH Innovation Awards are a set of awards which recognise the most innovative FTTH technology product solutions that support the FTTH Council Europe's key objectives, namely: accelerating fibre roll-out, reducing cost and making roll-out more efficient, promoting sustainable technologies, providing originality and enhanced user experience, encouraging greater take up of fibre optic services, saving maintenance costs. Following the great success of their first edition at the FTTH Conference 2024 in Berlin, FTTH Conference 2026 exhibitors* have now the chance to nominate their innovative FTTH product solutions and services as candidates for the FTTH Innovation Awards 2026.

* Note: exhibitors must have signed up before Wednesday 14th January 2026 to be able to make nominations

THE SIX CATEGORIES

1. Passive Infrastructure  

2. Active infrastructure – Central network 

3. Active infrastructure – Home network e.g. customer premise equipment and wi-fi 

4. Planning, workflow, mapping, management or GIS software 

5. Installation Equipment, Tools, Test & Measurement Instruments  

6. Artificial Intelligence (AI) based solutions

ENTRY CRITERIA

FTTH Conference 2026 exhibitors wishing to nominate their product and services as candidates for any of the FTTH Innovation Awards categories, should respect the following criteria:

1. The awards are free to enter for FTTH Conference 2026 exhibitors who have signed up to exhibit at the FTTH Conference 2026 before Wednesday 14^th January 2026 

2. Product/service entries must be FTTH related  

3. Each company can enter more than one category but no more than one product per category    

4. Only one overall entry (with one or multiple categories) is allowed per company   

5. Entries must be submitted in English   

6. The judges' decision is final and if there is no worthy or appropriate winner of a category, FTTH Council Europe reserves the right to not name a winner  

7. The product/service entered for each category must have been launched/taken to market recently and should be commercially available in 2026

8. The product/service entered should support one or more of the FTTH Council Europe objectives e.g.

   • The product should save cost and/or time in deployment    

   • Support more efficient FTTH roll-out   

   • Encourage greater take-up

   • Provide enhanced user experience    

   • Provide originality   

   • Save cost of maintenance    

   • Improve FTTH performance   

   • Offer sustainable solutions  

WHO CAN NOMINATE

The awards are free to enter and limited to FTTH Conference 2026 exhibitors having signed up before Wednesday 14^th January 2026.

PROMOTIONAL BENEFITS

A series of promotional benefits await the shortlisted companies, including media exposure and advertising opportunities to help drive traffic to your exhibition booth. Shortlisted companies will also be able to feature special flag banners in front of their exhibition stand to advertise themselves as shortlisted for one of the six FTTH Innovation Awards categories. The FTTH Council Europe will also produce "Shortlisted for FTTH Innovation Awards" stickers to be applied to products on exhibition stands. 

Winning finalists will be presented during a dedicated ceremony at 15:00 on Thursday 16th April 2026 in front of hundreds of delegates.
