Kristian Freiesleben (Denmark, 1973) is the International Business Director for OpenNet, the leading open fibre access platform in Denmark. He started his 20-year telecom career at the Danish incumbent TDC where he moved through the ranks to become the Director Product Management for national and international markets. In 2014 Kristian joined Norlys, the largest integrated energy and telecommunications group of Denmark. As their Director for wholesale product management he was the driving force behind the wholesale fiber business driving network utilization through partnerships with other ISPs. He was also a Board member of the Telecom Industry Association and SEF Fiber. Ever since its launch in 2017, Kristian had been involved with OpenNet, through his various roles, with increasing enthusiasm. He decided to join OpenNet in 2022 to lead the OpenNet International organization. OpenNet is a unique collaboration between multiple infrastructure operators to define a single platform and way of working to create true open access for ISPs.
