Bruno Cornaglia is Fixed Access Senior Manager in Vodafone Group managing all access technologies (copper, fiber and now also coax) by driving innovation and access network evolution for all the operators of the group. Main recent goals reached are the launch of NG-PON2 trial in Spain during 2015 as first operator worldwide, the development of TR-370 on FANS (Fixed Access Network Sharing) at Broadband Forum and the FANS trial in Ireland in 2016 and in Greece in 2018 and the development of TR-477 on Disaggregated OLT. Now he is actively involved in moving the fixed access network toward a cloud based solution by analyzing technical and operational advantages, doing tests and trials, running RFQs for selecting vendors. He is also continuing to support each country where Vodafone is present to develop a Next Generation Access by analyzing different technologies and opportunities. He is also since January 2020 SDN/NFV Work Area Co-director at Broadband Forum and Chairman of Fixed Broadband Project Group at Telecom Infra Project (TIP). He is author or co-author of more than 20 papers.
