Richard joined Openreach in February 2017. It’s his job to help define the future direction of the business and its strategic use of technology and innovation. To do this he works closely with the executive team and board.

Before Openreach

Richard spent two years as BT/EE integration director where he led planning and the first year of integration.  Before that he worked as BT's Group strategy director, where he was heavily involved in the EE deal.

Richard has an MSc in economics from the London School of Economics, and a BA in politics, philosophy and economics from Oxford.
