David ELFASSY, graduate in Fundamental Mathematics, has built a career that combines technical expertise and business development. After initial professional experience, he joined the family-owned Altitude Group in 2000 with the mission to structure the commercial division of Altitude Telecom, a company specialized in telecommunications for businesses. As the ninth employee of the subsidiary, he stood out for his significant contribution to the company’s growth, driving an ambitious strategy spearheaded by Jean-Paul Rivière and Dorothée Lebarbier. In 2007, he was appointed Deputy CEO. Two years later, Altitude Telecom had grown to 450 employees and achieved a turnover of €100 million. In 2009, Jean-Paul Rivière, Altitude Group’s Chairman, entrusted him with the presidency of Altitude Infra, a subsidiary dedicated to the design, construction, and operation of telecommunications networks. Anticipating the obsolescence of WiMax technology, he initiated a strategic shift towards fiber optics, focusing efforts on underserved areas. Under his leadership, Altitude Infra experienced fast growth, multiplying its revenue tenfold in five years. Today, the subsidiary operates and commercializes 29 public initiative networks, generating over 6,000 indirect jobs. With the acquisition of Kosc Telecom assets in 2020 and 26 Covage networks in 2021, Altitude Infra expanded its reach to over 5 million connections, strengthening its position as the third-largest fiber optic infrastructure operator in France. In 2023, Dorothée Lebarbier, Group’s Chairwoman and CEO, appointed him Vice President in charge of Public Relations. This strategic role aims to increase Altitude’s influence and support its growth ambitions.
