Franco Accordino

Franco Accordino is the Head of the “Investment in High-Capacity Networks” unit within the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology. The unit supports the deployment and take-up of gigabit and 5G networks underpinning the 2030’s connectivity vision and targets of the Digital Decade Policy Programme. Before this role, Franco was the Head of the “Knowledge Management and Innovative Systems” unit delivering solutions in such fields as data analytics, participatory platforms (futurium), and artificial intelligence. He also led the “Digital Futures 2050” foresight.
