Franco specialises in business development and strategy, with a strong focus on transaction support, digital infrastructure M&A and operational excellence. Franco has advised on numerous high-impact telecoms transactions across Europe, supporting infrastructure funds, financial institutions and telecoms operators in evaluating and transforming key assets such as fibre networks, mobile towers and data centres. Franco is particularly passionate about projects that combine strategic vision with technical depth. He has led a multi-billion euro refinancing due diligence for a major fibre operator, advised on the development of a data-centre platform in southern Europe, and helped shape the business strategy following the merger of two B2B telecoms providers. He values the opportunity to work closely with clients during pivotal moments, helping them make confident, data-driven decisions in fast-moving markets. Before joining Analysys Mason, Franco held senior roles at leading telecoms operators and vendors including Ericsson, Veon, WindTre and 3 Italy. His academic background includes an MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from Marche Polytechnic University, a postgraduate Master’s in ICT from CEFRIEL – Politecnico di Milano and Executive education at Harvard Business School.
