Richard Warner is International Director of Strategy and Business Development for Hyperscalers at Digital Realty, where he leads global engagement with cloud and AI platform providers, with a strong focus on interconnection, network architecture, and scalable digital infrastructure. Richard brings deep expertise in cloud networking and has built his career at the forefront of how enterprises connect to and operate across cloud platforms. Prior to Digital Realty, he spent almost ten years at Microsoft, where he led Azure networking and advanced migration strategy across Asia Pacific. In this role, he was responsible for launching and scaling Azure networking services across the region—defining go-to-market strategy, enabling partner ecosystems, and helping enterprises adopt high-performance, secure connectivity architectures to support cloud and AI workloads. At Digital Realty, Richard focuses on how network-dense, highly connected data centre platforms enable hyperscalers and enterprises to scale globally. His work centres on interconnection strategy, low-latency architecture, and multicloud connectivity—helping organisations design and deploy infrastructure that supports distributed cloud, AI inference, and data-intensive applications.
