Following his studies in Mathematics, David ELFASSY actively took part in the development and growth of Altitude Telecom (commercial telecommunication operator for professionals) in the 2000s. He became Deputy General Manager in 2007.
When the group embraced very high-speed broadband (FTTH) in 2009, he was promoted CEO of Altitude Infrastructure and became head of the company dedicated to optical fibre networks gathering 3 different activities : construction, operation and commercialisation.
Over the last 10 years, Altitude Infrastructure has become a key player in the FTTH market in France – the first independent operator - focusing on less dense areas and projects called PIN (public initiative networks). Altitude Infrastructure now accounts for 17 local fibre projects and will be connecting more than 3,500, 000 households and companies by 2023. It also grew to 500 employees. In June 2020, the tribunal also validated the acquisition of Kosc’assets. Kosc is a wholesale only operator dedicated to the business market which aim is to accelerate the migration of businesses to fibre providing on a market characterized by a very strong duopoly.
David ELFASSY is also on the Board of Directors of InfraNum. InfraNum was created on December 6th 2012 to support the « Plan France Très Haut Débit » (France high-speed broadband plan). It is the industrial partner to all French territories already connected or in the process of being connected and supports digital development as well as the development of uses. InfraNum includes more than 200 companies (design offices; operators; integrators; suppliers; service providers; etc.).
