A fiber network is a long-term investment, and it is critical for operators to secure the quality of key assets such as duct systems and the optical infrastructure.

Recent innovations and tools are making it possible to measure and secure the network build in a fast and cost-efficient way.

In this workshop, three industry leaders will share knowledge and experience from the perspective of a leading operator (Cityfibre), a provider of instruments for optical measurements (EXFO) and a supplier of passive solutions (Hexatronic).

Adapting business models in a shifting telecoms industry: How to remain competitive as a network operator in a full fibre environment?

    25 March 2025 16:00-17:30 Conference Room 6 Session

This workshop will highlight the necessary adaptation of current business models for network operators to remain competitive as we are shifting towards full fibre coverage in the upcoming years.

How will operators be able to differentiate themselves and where will competition take place once fibre infrastructure has been largely deployed?

To what extent will competition shift from infrastructure to service-level and how can operators take advantage of this new paradigm? Will bundle products, especially regarding mobile offerings, play an increasingly significant role for operators to remain competitive?
